The Global Organization for Youth Enlightenment and Development (GOYED) has been selected as one of the Entrepreneurship Development Institutes (EDIs) for the Anambra State government One Youth Two Skills Solution Program.
The One Youth Two Skills Entrepreneurship Scheme is a component project of the One Youth Two Skills Solution Program which is a flagship program of the Anambra State Government being championed by Mr. Patrick Agha Mba who is the honorable commissioner for Youth Development , Awka. The program is a holistic youth development package which has vocational skill learning, entrepreneurship learning, funding, and mentorship components.
Speaking at the end of a 2-day Workshop organized by the Ministry of Youth Development, Awka in conjunction with the Unizik Business School (UBS), Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, Mr. Leonard Nwadike who is the President and Executive Director of GOYED extolled the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo for keeping his promise of curbing youth unemployment through the One Youth Two Skills Solution Program. He further thanked Mr. Commissioner for passionately championing the program and assembling a competent team for the program. The Executive Director appreciated the partnership established between the Youth Development Ministry and the Nnamdi Azikiwe University which resulted to the certification workshop for the EDIs. Mr. Leonard assured the State Government that the EDIs would discharge their duty of empowering beneficiaries of the One Youth Two Skills Entrepreneurship Scheme with the requisite skills and knowledge to convert their vocational skills into viable businesses which would in addition to creating jobs and boosting the economy of the state, go a long way to curb youth restiveness and associated social vices.
