On the 1^st of November, 2023, the Executive Director of the Global Organization for Youth Enlightenment and Development (GOYED), Hon. Leonard Nwadike joined the Transition Committee Chairman for Idemili South Local Government Council, Hon. Amaka Obidigbo at the council hall, Ojoto to present graduation certificates, grant financing cheques, and transportation stipends to the beneficiaries of the pilot phase of the One Youth Two Skills Solution Program resident in communities within Idemili South LGA.

Few days earlier, during a grand graduation ceremony which held at the International Conference Center (ICC), Awka, where 5,000 youths resident in Anambra State graduated from the Pilot phase of the One Youth Two Skills Solution Program, the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo had presented a cheque of ₦2,000,000,000.00 (two billion naira) as empowerment grant to enable the beneficiaries start-up/ expand their businesses.

Prior to the certificate presentation and grant disbursement to the beneficiaries, Hon. Leonard Nwadike who is also the Lead Facilitator of GOYED, an NGO and  Unizik Business School (UBS) certified Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI) in charge of Idemili South LGA, had trained both startup trainees and Master Trainers on the rudiments of Entrepreneurship necessary to startup and grow their businesses.

The pilot phase of the One Youth Two Skills Solution Program is indeed a huge success thanks to Mr. Governor, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo and the hardworking Commissioner for Youth Development, Awka, Hon. Patrick Agha Mba.

It’s expected that with the contracted free one year mentorship for the beneficiaries, the success rate for these 5,000  businesses over the years will be high which will in turn create more jobs, reduce youth mediated vices and add to the GDP of the state and nation.
